Earlier I told you about the first time I ever left my physical body, and now I’m going to share with you how you can do the same, right from the comfort of your own home!

For this next trick, I’m going to need a little help from Melita Denning and Osborne Phillips, who wrote the guide that I used on my own spirit/body. Their Astral Projection Kit contained a pamphlet, a manual, a cassette tape, and a little card with a trippy pattern printed on it to assist with inducing hypnosis.

Here’s a short section found inside their pamphlet that briefly describes the series of steps necessary for achieving true astral projection:

Going Forth From the Body

A. Stand in the Wand Posture with the Meditation Card set up before you.

B. Gazing at the card, visualize yourself entering the picture and standing at the portal of sensory consciousness, looking out into the mysterious vastness of the astral world.

C. Focus your attention on the center of the swirl, and gazing at that point, let your imagination dwell all the wonderful things you will experience and achieve through astral projection.

D. Now, as you prefer, remain standing or lie down in the Earth Posture. Close your eyes, and in your imagination see the scene of the gateway of the astral worlds growing to immense proportions so that you are standing before a nightly portal and gazing out into the swirling splendor of the astral light. Looking into the center of that light, make this mental resolution: I WILL BRING MY DESIRES TO FULFILLMENT THROUGH SUCCESS IN ASTRAL PROJECTION.

E. Open your eyes.

F. If you have not already done so, lie down in the Earth Posture. Begin to play and work with Side One of your DEEP MIND tape.

G. Side One having concluded, now play and work with Side Two of your DEEP MIND TAPE.

Here we echo the words that will be spoken by your guide:

You are going to discover that you are a being of light, and that your essence is pure joy.
