ODDITIES THEATER: Who Framed Roger Rabbit? (1988)

Ladies! Gentlemen! Everyone! We’ve made it to yet another Saturday!

Wanna get weird?

He’ll yeah you do, cause you’re here and that’s what we do.

Can you believe we’ve been doing this Oddities Theater thing for nearly a year now? It’s true. I CAN PROVE IT.

I’ve had entire relationships that didn’t last this long! We’ll have to get a cake or something. You all like cake, right?

We’ll get a weird cake.

Alright, back to the movie.

This week’s weird movie was based on a weird book, one by Gary K Wolf. The book was 1981’s Who Censored Roger Rabbit? I’ll give you three guesses to name the movie it inspired.

Holy shit. First guess. Damn, you’re good!

*shouting offscreen* “Can we get another weird cake for our champion here?”

Whoa. What just happened? It was as if I was in a movie myself there for a second. Offscreen? There are no fucking screens here in Doom Fiction town!

Oh my god. I’m becoming a cartoon character.

Not really. But I did manage to land a small role in this film. It was my first role and opened up a world of opportunities for me. I played Baby Herman. The cigars were real, man.

I’m going to leave this post now. I’ve clearly overstayed my welcome. Enjoy the movie.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit? Directed by Robert Zemeckis and starring Bob Hoskins, Christopher Lloyd, and Charles Fliescher.
