ODDITIES THEATER: Begotten (1989)

Alright, folks… it’s Saturday, and you know what we do around here on Saturday, right? We get weird…

Today we’re watching the brutal “Begotten,” the bizarro nightmare brought to life by Shadow of the Vampire director E. Elias Merhige. This one is a tough watch for several reasons, so if you’re sensitive to intense gore and savage violence, you may want to sit this one out.

For the rest of you, happy viewing! You’ll have to login to your YouTube account for this one (age verification), just a heads up. As always, if you wish to discuss this film with me, head over to Twitter and find me @doomfiction

ODDITIES THEATER: Angel’s Egg (1985)

It’s Saturday, so… let’s… get… weird!

Today I’ll be sharing a film that I too will be watching for the first time today, Mamoru Oshii’s Angel Egg from 1985.

I’m intrigued by the plot synopsis:

Under a sky where the clouds make a sound as they move, a mysterious young girl wanders a desolate, otherworldly landscape carrying a large egg.

Looking forward to this one! As always, discuss with me on twitter: @doomfiction
